We had the pleasure of welcoming Uberheroes to our P6/7class.
Uberheroes aim to prevent mental ill health, by helping children and young people understand mental health. Their comic discusses various topics including cyber bullying, addiction and self harm. By creating comic book heroes and villains, it was aimed to help children deal with issues they may have themselves, but also offers advice on how to help others facing similar issues - all in a child friendly way. This is achieved through characters and plot lines that encourages children to talk about issues, guided by facilitators of the comic. The children enjoyed the workshop and are looking forward to the next comic.
