Navan Fort
On Tuesday the 14th of June, P6 and P7 visited Navan Fort in Armagh.
As the children are studying 'The Celts' as their classroom topic this term it was thought that this trip would benefit their history knowledge. The children had three activities, the first was an artefact information session. Everyone got a chance to hold, talk and investigate different pieces of jewellery and stone jar remnants. Secondly, an art session where they made Celtic warrior shields and lastly they visited a Roundhouse and talked with Celtic warriors and a Lady that like to make baskets from willow. They got to ask lots of questions about how the Celts lived and fought. Hopefully they all had a great day.
