Making a difference through a letter
On Wednesday 17th October P5 and P6 went down to the park beside Exploris to meet with Councillor Joe Boyle and Andrew McLawrence the council’s Biodiversity Officer. In May a few of the girls from the school were very concerned about the state of the pond and felt it wasn’t very attractive for visitors and not very pleasant for the wildlife living there. They wrote to the local councillor regarding these issues. They have now been invited to take ownership of the duck pond project. The school has been asked to design a sign with the winning sign being placed at the pond for visitors to see. The girls have also made the front page of the Chronicle.
